Location
Chenggong Barracks stop is in the center of Chenggong Village, Huxi Township. The shelter is simple but provides adequate cover from the elements. Local shops and residences are within a 5-minute walk. The Longmen Recreation Area — offering views of the eastern Penghu Bay headlands — is about a 15-minute walk away. Qinglu and Beiliao villages are roughly a 20-minute walk in either direction. The surrounding landscape is coastal farmland and fishing villages. Fishing boats can be seen entering and leaving Penghu Bay in the early morning and evening. Winds are generally strong, and northeast monsoon conditions are noticeable in winter.
Practical Tips
