The Huxi Household Registration Office bus stop is a common transfer point for residents in northeast Penghu after completing household registration, national ID, and other administrative tasks. Route 0759 Beiliao Line, Route 0768 Qingluo Line, and Route 0774 Longmen Loop all stop here, connecting the interior of Huxi Township with routes heading to outlying villages and back to Magong. Services are less frequent than at Magong Bus Terminal, but they are essential for local residents catching the next bus after completing administrative tasks.
Location
The stop is located directly outside the Household Registration Office building, with a basic overhead canopy at the waiting area. Huxi Village is near Huxi Junior High School and Huxi Fishing Harbor, and village shops as well as the Huxi Scenic Area are within walking distance (use a map app to check the exact distance and walking time). In winter, the northeast monsoon is particularly strong here — winds that locals describe as “force 10” are not unusual. When waiting for the bus, stand close to the building for wind shelter.
Travel Tips
The three routes operate on very different schedules: Route 0759 departs in the morning only, Route 0768 runs from early morning to around 17:00, and Route 0774 provides all-day circular service. Before boarding, confirm the route number (0759, 0768, or 0774) and arrive at the stop at least 15 minutes early to avoid a long wait if you miss your bus. In winter, schedules may be adjusted due to weather conditions, and services are sparse during off-peak hours — check real-time updates on this page or ask station staff. In summer, bring water and sun protection; in winter, dress warmly. Sun protection is recommended year-round, as UV levels in Penghu are higher than in mainland Taiwan.
