Freedom Tower (Victory) Station

澎湖縣馬公市中華路56之5號對面(北辰街側)

Liberty Tower Stop is an important bus stop on the northern side of Magong City, served by three urban routes — the Magong North Loop Line, Magong Huxi Line, and Magong South Penghu Line. The stop sits at the intersection of Zhonghua Road and Beichen Street, across from the Liberty Tower Memorial Park, and functions as a transfer point for travel between Magong’s northern neighborhoods, commercial areas, and surrounding townships. Travelers heading from Magong City toward Huxi Township or the South Sea scenic areas often transfer here; return traffic to Magong Bus Terminal tends to concentrate during the evening commute.

Location

Liberty Tower Stop runs along Zhonghua Road, directly opposite the Liberty Tower Memorial Park — the white tower and its surrounding green space are a recognizable Magong landmark. The area is a mixed commercial and residential district. Street shops and food stalls along Zhonghua Road are about a 3-minute walk away; Magong City Hall and the Magong Police Station are roughly 5 minutes on foot to the west; heading south connects to the Wenhua Road and Zhongshan Road commercial district in central Magong. While waiting for your bus, the Liberty Tower Park across the road offers a pleasant spot to take photos. Convenience stores and breakfast shops nearby are useful for picking up supplies before departure.

Travel Tips

All three routes depart from the same waiting area, so check the route number on the stop sign and the side of the bus before boarding. North Loop Line 0162 primarily serves northern Magong neighborhoods; Huxi Line 0164 connects to the main roads of Huxi Township; South Penghu Line 0165 heads south toward the South Sea scenic area. All three are operated by the Penghu County Public Bus and Ferry Management Office; TDX open data currently lists only the route endpoints and does not include per-trip timetables. Service is sparser in winter — check the real-time section on this page or call 06-9213822 to confirm the day’s last departure before you travel. The Beichen Street side of the stop is exposed to the northeast monsoon; bring a windproof layer when waiting in winter. In summer, the sun is intense — the shelter canopy provides useful shade.

When alighting, press the bell or wave to the driver so your stop is not missed. During peak commute hours and on weekends, buses run more frequently, so stay alert to surrounding traffic when boarding or alighting.
