#135866 — Bus hub stop

Cross-Sea Bridge Stop

The Cross-Sea Bridge stop sits on Penghu’s famous Cross-Sea Bridge, the main link between Penghu’s main island and Xiyu Township. Three routes call here — Route 0758 (multiple daytime services, numbered 21/21A/21B and others), Route 0762 (multiple daytime services, numbered 22/22A and others), and Route 0798 (two evening departures only: 8:30 PM and 9:50 PM) — serving commuters, returning residents, and visitors traveling between Magong and destinations such as Wai-an and Tongliang on Xiyu. The open views from the bridge deck, the tides of the Penghu Channel, and the seasonal monsoon winds make this a memorable place to wait for a bus.

Location

The stop is on the bridge deck, positioned near the railing with unobstructed views in both directions. Looking toward Xiyu you can see coastal fishing villages and breakwaters; looking back toward Magong the main-island skyline is visible in the distance. From the stop it is roughly a 10–15 minute walk down from the bridge to Wai-an Fishing Harbor; in the Tongliang direction, it is about 10 minutes on foot to the Tongliang Giant Banyan and surrounding village (at a normal walking pace).

Tips for Passengers

The Cross-Sea Bridge spans the Penghu Channel, leaving the stop fully exposed to the northeast monsoon in winter; severe weather may cause delays of 10–20 minutes. Plan to arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled departure. Always confirm the route number and destination before boarding — three routes share this stop, and it is easy to board the wrong one. The last services of the day are Route 0758 at 9:40 PM and Route 0798 at 9:50 PM; Route 0762’s last daytime run is approximately between 6:30 PM and 7:15 PM. After the last bus, a taxi is the only way to travel to or from Xiyu. Check the timetable before you set out to avoid being stranded on the bridge late at night.
