Xixi stop is a village transit hub within Penghu County’s northern loop bus network. Situated in the center of Xixi Village, Huxi Township, it is where three routes converge for travel between Magong City and northern villages. Passengers include residents commuting between villages, farmers, fishing-industry workers, and visitors exploring rural attractions such as the old settlement clusters of Beiliao and the coastal scenery of Qingluo Bay. Departures are infrequent but cover morning and evening commute needs.
Stop Location
The bus shelter in Xixi Village stands alongside the main village road, with a basic route sign and a roof canopy. Beiliao fishing village and the local temple are within a 10-minute walk; Qingluo Bay scenic area is approximately 15 minutes on foot. The surroundings are characteristic of traditional Penghu settlements, featuring stone weir (石滬) landscapes and coastal farmland. Motorcycles and private vehicles are the most common way to reach Xixi; the bus service primarily serves those without personal transport and short-term visitors.
Travel Tips
Three routes stop at Xixi, so confirm the route number before boarding — Route 0759 (Beiliao Line), Route 0768 (Qingluo Line), and Route 0774 (Longmen Circular Line) each operate on different schedules. During the winter northeast monsoon season, inland sections serving Beiliao and Longmen may experience delays of 10–15 minutes; the coastal route to Qingluo can be affected by tidal conditions and wave activity. Most last buses depart in the early evening, so check the timetable in advance to avoid a long wait. There are no convenience stores or food options in the village; bring water and sun protection.
