Gangzi is a bus stop on the west side of Magong City, Penghu County, situated at the boundary between Magong and Xiyu Township. It serves 3 routes running to and from Wai-an and Tongliang. Passengers who board or transfer here include Xiyu commuters and visitors using this stop to access the western townships. Whether heading south to the fishing village of Wai-an, north into the Tongliang area, or east back to Magong city center, Gangzi is a key transfer point.

Gangzi stop sits in the rural western part of Penghu, along the main road connecting Magong to Xiyu. The surrounding area features a typical Penghu coastal village environment — windbreaks and farmland in the distance, small hamlets and traditional residences nearby. The bus shelter provides basic shade and clear route signage.
Gangzi sits at a crossroads of north–south traffic across three routes. To the south lies the Wai-an community, known for its traditional fishing village clusters, folk temples, and coastal scenery. To the north is Tongliang village, known for its historical sites and geological landscapes. To the east is a quick return to Magong city center, while to the west lies Penghu’s exposed western coastline. Most passengers stop here briefly to transfer rather than linger.

Bus schedules vary across the three routes — check times in advance. Shagang Line 0758 (Route 21) runs multiple trips throughout the day; first departure at 06:55 (Magong → Wai-an), last outbound around 18:00. Tongliang Line 0762 (Route 22) departs from 06:35 and runs multiple trips to Tongliang’s ancient banyan tree, with the last outbound around 18:30. Night Island-Loop Line 0798 (Route 25) is the only evening service, with one trip at 20:30 (Magong → Tongliang → Wai-an) and one at 21:50 (Wai-an → Tongliang → Magong).
During Penghu’s winter months (approximately October through March), strong northeast monsoon winds can cause delays of 10–15 minutes on routes to Wai-an and Tongliang.
