#135916 — Bus hub stop

Citou Visiter center

Qitou Visitor Center is a gateway hub in Xiyu Township, Penghu, where 3 bus routes converge, linking the north loop (Tongliang, Niuxin Hill) with the southwest coast (Wai-an, Fenggui). Most visitors transfer here for Tongliang Banyan, Wai-an Fishing Port, or return trips to Magong; local residents also board here for commutes to Magong city center or other villages in Xiyu Township. The stop faces Penghu Bay, with the intertidal zone and Qitou Beach just steps away — one of the most scenic stops along the coastal road.

Location

Qitou Visitor Center sits along the coastal road in Xiyu Township, Penghu County, facing Penghu Bay with hills behind and sea ahead. Tongliang Banyan — a banyan over 300 years old — is a 15–20 minute walk away. Wai-an fishing village is about 25–30 minutes on foot along the coastal path, with views of traditional wooden fishing boats and the open bay. The nearby Qitou intertidal zone is suitable for tidal observation and shellfish foraging in summer. Inside the visitor center there are restrooms, a drinking water fountain, and a small exhibition space for a convenient rest stop.

Travel Tips

Routes 0758 and 0762 are the main services, running year-round on a fixed schedule with departures approximately every 60–90 minutes during the day. Route 0798 is a night service; see the timetable below for departure times. During the winter northeast monsoon season, strong coastal winds in Xiyu can delay services by 15–20 minutes — check the real-time arrivals section on this page before setting out. There are no restroom facilities at the stop itself (the visitor center has them), so it is recommended to replenish supplies at Magong Bus Terminal or a convenience store beforehand. Water and sunscreen are essential during daylight hours.
