Waidongmen sits in the Anshan neighborhood of Magong City, where six loop and branch routes converge. It is a key transfer point for travelers heading from the city center to eastern destinations such as Jianshan, Fengguei, and Longmen. Major routes including the Guanghua Line, Wukan Loop, and Jianshan Loop all stop here, linking Magong’s inner ring with the eastern loop network. Local residents transfer here for work commutes; visitors change buses here to reach Penghu’s well-known coves and viewpoints.
Location
The stop is in the Anshan neighborhood of Magong City, toward the Jianshan direction. The shelter has clear route signs and a basic roof that can accommodate multiple routes stopping simultaneously. The Jianshan Transmission Tower Viewpoint is about a 10-minute walk away. The Fengguei Cave Scenic Area is roughly 15 minutes on foot, with basalt fields and traditional village architecture typical of Penghu along the way. The Longmen scenic area is about 8 minutes away by bus. The surrounding area is a mix of residential homes and farmland with open terrain; in winter, the northeast monsoon is strong, so bring a windproof layer when waiting for the bus.
Practical Tips
Confirm Your Route and Direction
Six routes share the same shelter. Before boarding, verify the route number and destination. Loop routes (0765, 0767, 0774) run more frequently; branch routes (0761, 0764, 0777) have longer intervals between services.
Winter Wind Delays
The northeast monsoon in winter is strong, and buses toward Fengguei and Longmen may run 10–15 minutes late. Check the live timetable on this page before departing.
