Xingwen Barracks stop

澎湖縣湖西鄉大城北村

Xingwen Barracks Stop is a transit hub in eastern Huxi Township, located in Dacheng North Village. Three local loop services — routes 0767, 0768, and 0774 — call here, linking Magong with Jianshan, Qingluo, Longmen, and Wai-an. Passengers traveling from Magong Bus Terminal to villages across Huxi Township and toward Wai-an board and alight at this stop, whether they are daily commuters, returning residents, or tourists. As the junction where Huxi’s eastern and northern loop routes converge, this stop reflects the everyday flow of local travel and the seasonal rhythm of tourism on Penghu’s east coast.

Location

Xingwen Barracks Stop is in Dacheng North Village, Huxi Township. The shelter stands beside the main road and provides a roof and clearly marked route signs. The immediate surroundings are residential, with small commercial streets nearby; a convenience store and grocery shop are within a 5-minute walk, making the stop a practical hub for local errands and commuting. Central Magong is about 15–20 minutes away by bus. For Longmen Fishing Harbor, the Qingluo terminus, or the Jianshan area, transfer to the relevant loop route at this stop.

Travel Tips

Before boarding, confirm the route number on the shelter sign — 0767 / 0768 / 0774 — to make sure you are heading in the right direction. All three routes depart from the same shelter, and last-bus times differ by route, generally falling between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM. In winter the northeast monsoon can cause delays of 10–20 minutes; daytime services in Huxi Township tend to be busier, so arriving 10–15 minutes early is advisable. During poor weather, schedules can change at short notice — always check the live arrivals panel on this page before you travel.
