#135842 — Bus hub stop

Zhongxi stop

Zhongxi is a transit hub for travel between Magong and Xiyu, where three routes converge. Commuters and visitors heading to the Waian area or the Tongliang Banyan Tree transfer buses here. Most departures are concentrated in the morning (06:35–08:15); afternoon services are sparse, and only Route 0798 runs in the evening. Confirm the schedule before you travel.

Location

Zhongxi sits in the transition zone between Magong and Xiyu. Departing from Magong Bus Terminal, the route passes through the city before opening into rural scenery; the stop is reached in roughly 15–20 minutes. The shelter is a simple roadside structure, surrounded by typical Penghu village landscape — farmland and residential homes. This stop is the gateway to both the Tongliang Banyan Tree (Penghu’s oldest banyan, a recognized cultural site) and Waian community (a traditional fishing village with accommodation options).

Tips for Riders

Zhongxi is a small stop with a fixed but limited schedule. Before boarding, check the route sign carefully — Routes 0758, 0762, and 0798 all stop here but serve different destinations and depart at different times. Morning services are concentrated early; miss the early bus and the next option is the 20:30 Route 0798. Allow sufficient time if you are heading to Tongliang or Waian. During winter, the northeast monsoon can cause delays on westbound services toward Xiyu — check real-time arrivals before you head out. Stop signs are clearly marked; match them against the timetable to confirm your service.
