Dingwan Extension stop

Dingwan Extension Stop is a key transfer point in Xiyu Township connecting travelers between Magong city center and the western villages of Penghu. It is served by the Wai-an Line (0758), Tongliang Line (0762), and Shagang Circular Line (0766). The stop sees the most activity during early morning hours, with commuters and visitors traveling between Magong and the communities of Wai-an and Tongliang.

Location

Dingwan Extension Stop lies near Dingwan village in Xiyu Township, marking one of the first bus stops as you enter the western part of the island. The shelter stands along a rural road with minimal facilities, surrounded by typical Penghu countryside — low-rise houses, farmland, and windbreak trees. Coordinates are approximately 23.59° N, 119.61° E, about 15 minutes by road from Magong city center. Continuing past this stop leads to Wai-an Fishing Port and the Tongliang Banyan; returning north takes you back to Magong.

Travel Tips

All three routes share the same stop area, so confirm the route number before boarding — the Wai-an Line (0758), Tongliang Line (0762), and Shagang Circular Line (0766) each run on different schedules. The Wai-an and Tongliang lines operate morning-only fixed departures: route 0758 has a first service at 06:55 with the last inbound at 08:15, and route 0762 starts at 06:35 with the last inbound at 07:20 — neither is an option for afternoon travel. The Shagang Circular Line (0766) provides all-day coverage with service until 21:05. During winter, the northeast monsoon brings strong winds to this exposed rural area; check real-time bus information before heading out.
