Xujia South stop

Xujia South is a key transit hub on Penghu’s Xiyu island. Four bus routes call here daily, connecting Magong with the western side of Xiyu — covering Wai-an, Tongliang, and the villages in between. The stop serves commuters, weekend visitors, and local residents alike. Compared with the bustle of Magong Bus Terminal, Xujia South is quiet and understated, yet it functions as an essential link between Xiyu and the rest of Penghu.

Location

Xujia South sits along the main road in the middle of Xiyu Township, between Tongliang and Wai-an. The stop has a simple shelter with clearly marked route signs showing each service number and destination. Tongliang Ancient House and the surrounding traditional settlement are about a 10-minute walk to the north. A 5-minute walk to the southwest reaches the northern entrance of the Penghu Bay Bridge, where there are open views across the strait between Taiwan and Xiyu. For travelers heading to Wai-an Fishing Village or the Xiaochijiao Scenic Area, this is the nearest boarding point.

Travel Tips

Xiyu is exposed to the northeast monsoon throughout the year. From October to March, afternoon service delays of 10–20 minutes are common. The night service 0798 (Route 25) runs infrequently, with the last departure around 22:24; plan to arrive at the stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure. The three daytime routes (0758, 0762, and 0766) run roughly every hour — check the live arrivals on this page before heading out. There is no enclosed waiting area at the stop, so a hat and sunscreen are useful in summer, and a windproof jacket is advisable in winter.
