Xujia stop

Xujia is a hub stop in Xiyu Township, Penghu, where four bus routes converge to connect Magong City with the villages of Tongliang, Waian, and Shagang in the Xiyu area. Whether you are visiting the Tongliang Great Banyan, the Cross-Sea Bridge, Waian fishing village, or cycling around Xiyu’s outer ring road, most visitors transfer at Xujia. As Xiyu is one of Penghu’s main tourism areas, Xujia serves as a key link between Magong and the island’s west-coast villages.

Location

Xujia stop sits on the main road through Xiyu Township leading toward Waian, and consists of an open-air shelter. The immediate surroundings are a mix of residential houses, farmland, and coastline. The Tongliang Great Banyan is about a 10–15 minute walk away; Waian fishing village is roughly 20 minutes on foot; the Cross-Sea Bridge is about 5 minutes by bicycle. This part of Xiyu retains its traditional farming and fishing character — the scenery of fields, low-rise houses, and the sea makes it well suited for exploring by bicycle.

Travel Tips

Xujia stop has limited shelter, so bring rain gear and sunscreen. All four routes share the same stop; before boarding, check the route number — 0758 / 0762 / 0766 / 0798 — displayed on the bus. Daytime services are more frequent. Route 0766 is a circular loop, giving you flexibility for return trips. Route 0798 is an evening service with a first departure at 8:30 PM and very few runs — confirm the timetable before heading out. In winter, strong northeast monsoon winds can cause delays; check the real-time status on this page before your journey.
