Nongchang Stop is a mid-route transfer point in Baisha Township, Penghu, on the main corridor connecting Magong with the Tongliang and Wai-an tourism areas. Four bus routes call here: Route 0758 Magong–Wai-an, Route 0762 Magong–Tongliang, Route 0766 Magong–Shagang Loop (all-day circular service), and Route 0798 Magong–Tongliang–Wai-an Night Service. Passengers commonly transfer here to reach folk-culture attractions and coastal spots on the northwestern side of Penghu.
Location
Nongchang Stop sits along the main road through Baisha Township toward Tongliang. The area around the bus sign is typical of northern Penghu villages — a mix of residential homes and farmland. Walking north approximately 2 km leads to Tongliang Old Houses and the traditional folk-culture district; heading south, you can transfer to services bound for Wai-an Fishing Village and Xiyu Lighthouse. The shelter is modest, with a small waiting canopy of limited coverage. There are no convenience stores nearby; bringing water and snacks is recommended.
Travel Tips
Four routes serve this stop, so check the route number on the bus (0758, 0762, 0766, or 0798) before boarding. Route 0762 Magong–Tongliang runs with relatively frequent departures; Route 0766 Magong–Shagang Loop operates all day; evening Route 0798 runs infrequently, with the last trip around 21:50 — missing it may require a transfer or taxi. Baisha Township experiences strong northeast monsoon winds in winter, and this stop is in an exposed location where winds are pronounced; stand firmly while waiting. During rain, the small shelter provides limited coverage, so carrying your own rain gear is advised.
