Wenao Police Station sits on the edge of Magong city and serves as the hub connecting the urban center with the south loop (southern peninsula) of Penghu. Four routes converge here: the eastbound Route 0767 Jianshan Line and Route 0774 Longmen Line, which head toward Penghu Airport, Aimen Beach, and Longmen Fishing Harbor; and the southwest-bound Route 0773 Shanshui Line and Route 0777 Fengguei Line, which serve Shanshui Beach and Fengguei Cave. The stop sits precisely at the transition between Magong’s urban core and the rural coastal villages of the south, making it a practical transfer point for visitors heading to Shanshui sunsets, Longmen fishing village, or the sea caves at Fengguei, as well as for local commuters traveling in both directions.
Location
The stop is located near the Wenao Police Station building and has a sheltered waiting area. Geographically, this area marks the boundary between Magong city and the surrounding countryside: north leads into Magong’s historic center — the old Zhongyang Street and Tianhou Temple; south opens into the rural and coastal areas of Shanshui and Longmen; and southwest connects to Fengguei Cave and Shili Beach. The immediate surroundings are low-density residential, with small farms and fishing land, giving the area a quiet character — traffic here is mostly tourists and commuters. If you need to reach Penghu Airport, both Route 0767 and Route 0774 stop here and reach the airport in roughly 15–20 minutes.
Boarding Tips
The four routes at this stop run in different directions, so check the route number and destination board before boarding:
- Route 0767 Jianshan Line: A loop service passing Penghu Airport, Aimen Beach, and Lingtou Park, continuing north around Huxi Township. Frequency: every 1–2 hours.
- Route 0773 Shanshui Line: Runs to Shanshui Beach. This is the least frequent route (only 5–6 departures per day), with a gap of up to 7 hours between morning and afternoon trips — check the timetable before you go.
- Route 0774 Longmen Line: Runs to Longmen Fishing Harbor. Frequency: every 1–2 hours. At Longmen you can connect to ferry services to Qimei and Wang-an on the South Sea routes (April–September only).
- Route 0777 Fengguei Line: Runs to Fengguei Cave and Suogang, passing Qingwan and other south loop spots along the way.
Route 0773 Shanshui Line has the earliest last departure: 17:25 from Magong (confirmed by TDX). Plan your Shanshui visit accordingly to avoid missing the final service.
During winter (October–March), the northeast monsoon is strong across southern Penghu and delays of 10–20 minutes on south loop routes are common. Check the real-time arrivals on this page or call Magong Bus Terminal before heading out.
